This should be easy...still driving me up the wall
popular 70's song....don'tknow much except that the chorus was harmonies(Crosby,S,Nash style kind of) and the chorus then ended in " those sunny days"..

If you get this it will pull a year old tack out of my head!

Sly & The Family Stone - Hot Fun In The Summertime

Click here to watch the video

All: End of the spring and here she comes back
Hi Hi Hi Hi there
Them summer days, those summer days

That's when I had most of my fun, back
high high high high there
Them summer days, those summer days

Rose: I "cloud nine" when I want to

Freddie: Out of school, yeah

Larry: County fair in the country sun

Sly: And everything, it's true, ooh yeah

All: Hot fun in the summertime x 4

All: First of the fall and then she goes back
Bye bye bye bye there
Them summer days, those summer days

Rose: "Boop-boop-ba-boop-boop" when I want to

Freddie: Out of school, yeah

Larry: County fair in the country sun

Sly: And everything, it's true, ooh yeah

All: Hot fun in the summertime x 4

Probably 'Sunny Days' by Canadian band Lighthouse.

Sittin' stoned alone in my backyard Askin' myself "Why should I work so hard?" Sittin' dreamin' 'bout the days to come Half-undressed, just soakin' up the sun Sittin' here, I hope I don't get fried Two years ago, you know, I almost died And yet, there's nothin' better for your soul Than lyin' in the sun and listenin' to rock 'n roll Sunny days Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know Than lyin' in the sun with your radio Sunny days Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know Than lyin' in the sun with your radio I really think there's nothin' quite so fine As lettin' the sun rejuvenate your mind Don't get me wrong, I really dig the moon But it was four in the afternoon when I wrote this tune And now the sun's about to fade away I'm feelin' better than I've felt for days You know, there's nothin' better for your soul Than lyin' in the sun and listenin' to rock 'n roll Sunny days Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know Than lyin' in the sun with your radio Sunny days Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know Than lyin' in the sun with your radio ------ instrumental break ------ Sunny days Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know Than lyin' in the sun with your radio Sunny days Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know Than lyin' in the sun with your radio Da da-da da-da da da da Da da-da da-da da da da Da da-da da-da da da da Da-da da-da da-da da-da daaaaaa-aaaa Well, all right!

nah...not it either...

Alot of harmonies in the chorus... which ends in ..." those sunny days"

I appreciate all the help though....this is a simple song, stupindiously popular, but I have yet to figure it out in a year.

Rick,

Do you recall any other lyrics?
What country are you from?
Do you remember which year you first heard this song?

US....NC actually, it's a 70's song....has a Crosby Stills Nash kind of harmony to the chorus....upbeat song. Band would have been around the same time as CSNash and CCR...this crowd. Very popular song, even today on classic rock stations. The chorus was harmonies and ended in .." those sunny days"

It might be The Buoys song 'Sunny days/Memories'...they definitely have the harmony part..can't find any lyrics ...but you can sample the song here:
