|R&B mysteries of the '80s|
I need some help to find a possible '80s one hit wonder. Don't have the artist or title, just a hook and a little info. It's odd because I've heard it in some Fri. night ol' school party mixes but I haven't been able to catch the title or artist (of course).
It was featured as a one-hit wonder on a nationally syndicated radio show and the host was trying to get listeners to call in and guess. I know it's from the early-mid 80's and I think it was probably in heavy rotation in NY, although I'm a NC native and I remember it. I think he said it was played on the club scene. It's by a female artist and kinda upbeat, had that classic synthesizer-ish background and the hook is:
"You're takin' my love to the limit, you're takin' my l-o-o-v-e to the limit".
I know this isn't much to go on. Haven't been here in a while so don't know if Dan is still around but if so, this might be one for him. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
