early 90's dance tune: "happy is..."?
hi guys, looking for the name and artist for this tune: it's in the "happy cheezy house" vein of urban cookie collective, it's got a female vocal singing, it's very house-y / dance-y! here's the lyrics i can remember...

this is around the dr alban / urban cookie collective / 2 unlimited time: bad videos and had hairstyles! haha!

"duh duh duh duh dum doo be doo be
duh duh duh duh dum doo be doo be...
happy is
happy is
well happy is what we are
happy is what we are when we're together"

the tune is so strong in my head, been for years b ut i saw this video when i was like 15 years old, so probibly out about 93 - 95. the video shows a girl singing, but i seem to remember a guy somewhere in it.

any idea anyone?

Meja Biography by John Bush

After finding a hit in the early '90s as part of the dance-pop group Legacy of Sound, Meja went out on her own and became quite a popular solo act in Europe and Japan, though success in America was slower to come, unlike her Swedish comrades ABBA, Ace of Base and the Cardigans. Born near Stockholm, she was influenced by the music of her grandfather, a classical composer, as well as soul icons like Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. She formed Legacy of Sound and co-wrote the group's world-wide club hit "Happy, " but Meja had other plans; after the group's demise, she began to tone down their hi-NRG style with a vocal sound more in tone with soul and jazz. She hooked up with producer Douglas Carr (Ace of Base, Dr. Alban) and released her self-titled debut album in 1995. It went gold in her native country and hit platinum in Japan. Her second album Seven Sisters was released in late 1997, and did almost as well as her debut. It received a belated American release in the summer of 1999.

HAPPY

Hap hap hap hap
(Found me a new day)
(Repeat twice)

(Chorus)
Happy is
Happy is
Hap hap happy
Is what we are
Happy
Is what we are when we`re together

You know we have a friendship going on that will last
A long long time
The love we share will always be a memory
`Cuz good times always conquer the bad ones

It`s true people get happy when they see us together
Yes they do

The joy we bring
Together we can show the world what happiness can be
All together

Chorus

I feel free, yeah

It all that we have that brings us closer together
that we can be enjoying life

That all that matters to me

Believe in all that we have
Is something special to offer
The time we had

Surrounded by the good days
And the feeling of a good good vibration

Chorus

Oh what we are

Chorus

Hap hap hap hap
(Found me a new day)
(Repeat three times)

Believe in what we had

I said belive
I said believe, yeah

Believe in what we are

Believe, yeah

Believe in what we had

Believe in what we are

Believe in what we are

So do it baby

Chorus

When we`re together
We are

Chorus

Yeah yeah

Chorus

Happy is what we are

Chorus

Jeez! You are so money! I too have been looking for this song ever since 1993. I love the song and it too has been stuck in my mind often. But I sourced it to the Mickey Mouse Club back in the Britney/Christina/Justin days. I honestly thought it was an original song from them that made it to the charts. But after listening to the sample you provided I realize completely that it is Meja. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
