I am looking for anyone who remembers a band by the name of "Silk" or "Slick" from 1980's- They had one album that I know of-the first song was called Sunrise....it went something like..."Sunrise, thank you for today, light up all the children off the world.... (?)something something as they play"-- I believe they also sang the original song "If only for one night--not Brenda Russell or Luther Vandross,,,,,,,Help----Maybe it was only sold in the midwest..it was very popular with R&B/soul station in Indianapolis IN Note: I found this:
